SMME Development
SMME DEVELOPMENT


SMALL AND MEDIUM BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT is a specific support system provided by the Economic Development, Tourism and Agriculture Directorate. They offer various programmes and services through The Business Place, which is contracted to do so, on behalf of EDTA.

Entrepreneurs can subscribe to The Business Place Database to receive the course/workshop schedules as and when they are made available every month. 

Registering on the TBP-NMB Database requires us to do a ONE-ON-ONE assessment session, in person, at one of our facilities, where after the entrepreneur will be automatically registered on the database.

Once registered on the database, the entrepreneur will receive regular correspondence on: 

  • Training
  • Workshops
  • Networking 
  • and other Interventions relating to their growth as an enterprise.

INFORMAL TENDERS (RFQ)


RFQ's are informal tenders with a value less than R10 000. RFQ's are managed and advertised on the RFQ's page by Supply Chain Management.

Due to the frequency of updates and placements of RFQ's, they are not available on the Online Newsletter but listed on the notice board, at the Stores in Harrower Road.  


FORMAL TENDERS

 


Formal Tenders (with a value above R200 000) are managed and advertised by Supply Chain Management and follow the formal SCM processes.
  

The tenders are advertised in the newspapers and on our Formal Tenders page.

ARTS & CULTURE DATABASE


The Arts & Culture database is owned and managed by the Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture directorate. This Database aims to offer artists of all genres, a platform where they can register and advertise their services. Being registered on the database may provide them with employment opportunities when artists are sourced for events.
  

Funding and grants for artists are also listed on this database and it owned.
