Qualifications and experience required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (N3 Building/National Diploma Built Environment preferred).
  • Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Two to three years’ relevant work experience.

Key attributes and competencies:

  • Excellent written and communication skills in English are a prerequisite.
  • Good administrative, coordination and interpersonal skills.
  • Supervisory and monitoring skills.

Job purpose:

Providing a project management service with respect to the execution and implementation of capital projects associated with the Division through the management of the process of analysing, investigating, assessing and mapping out deliverables and costing frameworks, preparing contractual terms and providing information on industry related practices and trends to guide, enable and ensure key project milestones are accomplished in accordance with shorter and longer term developmental objectives and capital budgeted frameworks.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Trade-tested Artisan: Welder.

Key attributes and competencies:

  • The physical attributes required for the key performance areas in this post necessitate that the incumbent be physically fit and able-bodied.
  • The incumbent should possess coordination and supervising skills and have the ability to formulate reports and record information e.g. job cards, logbooks. etc.
  • Should pay attention to detail.

As part of the selection process, the incumbent will be required to undergo a medical examination at the NMBM Wellness Centre.

Job purpose:

Performing the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialised tasks and activities associated with the Body Shop. Welding and repairs to heavy plant and vehicles and attending to routine/general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives.

Job purpose:

Coordinating and controlling the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialised tasks/activities associated with the auto-electrical maintenance and repair work to diesel/petrol small and heavy plant and vehicles by monitoring and correcting the productivity and performance output of general support personnel and/or addressing specific deviations from safety standards, removing/replacing defective components and rewiring sections of electrical circuits and troubleshooting, fault-finding and problem solving electrical system faults in order to ensure vehicle/plant electrical system are maintained and any deviation in performance restored to enable optimum functionality.

Coordinating applications associated with the monitoring of the repair and planned maintenance of automotive electrical systems by scheduling resource requirements according to approved programmes and priorities, checking on the execution and applying corrective measures to address deviations and/or problem solving complex technical faults to electrical systems and writing, maintaining quality and service standards, and attending to administrative reporting and record-keeping requirements in order to ensure outcomes defined in the operational plans are achieved.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Registered Architectural Technician and/or Building Inspector.
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Three years’ relevant work experience.

Key attributes and competencies:

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and at least one other official local language.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A very high level of attention to detail.
  • Good organisational, problem-solving, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to monitor health and safety requirements in terms of the OSH Act during inspections.

As part of the selection process, the recommended candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination at the Municipality’s Occupational Health and Safety Division.

Job purpose:

Coordinating and controlling Building Administrative sequences associated with monitoring compliance with standards, procedures, regulations, and specifications encompassed in National Building Regulations and Town Planning Schemes with regard to the submission of building plans for approval and coordinating and controlling the administrative duties affecting the building plans’ approval processes.
